These are my must-have recommendations for systems I use.
Writing - Dabble Writer
I love this cloud-based writing site. I can log in from any computer whenever I feel like it and access my work on the cloud instantly. I mostly like it for its ability to make the document I'm working in look as complex or simple as I like with the click of a button. It tracks goals, word counts, plot lines, and also character notes, so there is no need for a separate document for all of this. The layout style is that of a book, so as I'm writing, I'm looking at the exact format it would look like in a paperback. It has a built-in spell/grammar checker and a lot more.
Editing - Microsoft Word.
I will always recommend Microsoft Word as I've noticed if I edit in Google Docs, it creates formatting problems in my formatting program.
Formatting - Atticus
I currently use Atticus to format my books, but i've found it to be quite time-consuming and glitchy. I'm considering looking into Vellum as I've heard amazing things about it regarding ease of formatting. Unfortunately, Vellum is only available on a Mac which I don't have. Watch this space.
Marketing - Canva
This is a tool I could not live without. I make all my social posts/reels via Canva.
